Add an Action to Your Profile

Your Actions are the heart of your Citizens profile. They show the impact you’re making, the skills you’re developing and how you’re growing.

Here’s how to add one:

  1. Go to your Citizens Profile.

  2. Click Add Action.

  3. Begin by writing a short description of what you did. 👉 Pro Tip: Use this for a brief intro and add Reflections for a more detailed description.

⚠️ Start by describing your action clearly. This helps the Copilot suggest the right learning outcomes and skills to tag the action.

Save, Preview or Publish

Once you’ve written your action:

  • Click Save as draft if you’re still working on it.

  • Click Preview to see how your action will look on your profile.

  • Click Publish if it’s ready to share!

🧠 Don't overthink it. If you don't remember the exact dates or commitment level, just add the closest you recall.

🔁 You can always come back and edit everything later.

Add Evidence (Images, PDFs, URLs)

Support your action with evidence to make it more credible and inspiring.

You can upload:

  • ✅ Images (JPG, PNG)

  • ✅ PDFs

  • ✅ URLs: links to articles, websites, or posts. 🎥 Use YouTube or Vimeo links to stand out with a thumbnail!

💡 Pro Tip: If you don’t have a photo or image of your own, simply google a more abstract image related to your action. For example, if it was a cookery course and you haven’t got any photos of yourself, you could add a cookery course poster from Google.

Review your Learning Outcomes

If you have the Copilot enabled, learning outcomes will be automatically detected. Review them to understand if they're the best fit for your described Action.

Add Reflections (Optional)

You can optionally add more detailed information about your actions. Just like with a Google Site, make it your own with headings, colours and embedding images as you go!

💡Don’t worry if this is a ‘micro action’ or something where you don’t have anything more to say. If the Reflections section is blank it doesn’t appear on your action page, so it never looks like it’s missing!

View Your Actions on Your Profile

Once you have added your actions, you will see them on your wheel and can change the view to see how others see your profile (this is great if you want some actions to be visible to everybody, and others only to teachers - or even just yourself).

🎉 That’s it! You’re now ready to tell your story and show your impact.
